Founded in 2022 by John Garber, Garberiel® has come a long way from its beginnings in a small workshop in Nashville, TN. When John first started out, his passion for flashlights and quality lighting drove him to start his own business. After months of research, countless late nights spent perfecting his flashlight designs, and testing over a dozen different battery brands, Garberiel® Flashlights was born.

All of our products are designed in-house from the ground up. We take pride in the thought and care put into every flashlight and battery we sell.

Flashlights

Our flashlight selection includes compact everyday carry lights, heavy duty tactical lights, and high performance lights designed for specific uses like camping, hiking, and watersports. Some highlights include:

• XHP Series – Our flagship series designed for maximum brightness and durability. Up to 10000 lumens output. Aircraft grade aluminum housing. Shockproof, waterproof, and dustproof. Powered by our high drain Garberiel batteries.
• Diving Flashlights – Waterproof up to 200 meters depth. Specially designed lenses and bright LEDs for underwater vision. Aluminum housing resists corrosion.
• Headlamps – Handsfree design. Adjustable and removable strap. Rotating and tilting lamp units. Red light modes to preserve night vision. Excellent for camping, hiking, caving, and other activities.
• Camping Lights – Compact LED lanterns and string lights for area illumination at campsites. Collapsible and lightweight. Long run times from included Garberiel batteries.
• Work Lights – From small pocket inspecting lights to large area stand, strip and hanging work lights. Durable and practical lights for professionals and hobbyists.

Batteries

We offer a wide range of single use alkaline, lithium, silver oxide, and rechargeable NiMH and Li-ion batteries to fit all of your device needs:

• AA – Available in alkaline, lithium, and rechargeable NiMH chemistries. Our alkaline AA’s provide up to 2x more power than standard batteries.
• AAA – Alkaline, lithium, and rechargeable NiMH AAA batteries for mini flashlights, toys, remotes, and other compact devices.
• CR123A – Non-rechargeable lithium batteries designed for high drain devices. 3V nominal voltage and extreme temperature tolerance. Often used in tactical flashlights.
• 18650 – High capacity rechargeable lithium-ion cells for personal electronics and high performance LED flashlights. We carry protected and unprotected 18650’s from top manufacturers like Panasonic, LG, and Samsung.
• 26650 – Extra long lithium-ion batteries for max capacity. Great for larger flashlights. We carry flat and button top variants.
• C, D & 9V – Alkaline and heavy duty batteries for larger electronics. Our C and D sizes have up to 20 year shelf life.
• Specialty – Camera batteries, watch batteries, A23 12V, lithium coin cells, silver oxide, and more.

All of our batteries are new and fresh stock. We frequently test capacity to ensure our batteries meet stated performance.

Quality Control

At Garberiel® quality control is paramount. We meticulously inspect our flashlight inventory and test batteries to catch defects and ensure performance meets specifications. All products undergo a comprehensive quality control process:

• Incoming – Inspect packaging condition, verify quantities, document lot codes and serial numbers
• Visual – Check for physical defects such as dents, scratches, faulty seals and o-rings, broken lenses, loose components
• Operational – Test all functions – on/off, modes, zoom, focus, charging, other features
• Drop – Drop lights onto a concrete surface to check for damage and malfunctions
• Submersion – Submerge waterproof lights to rated depth
• Battery – Test voltage, capacity, discharge curves, internal resistance, leakage, and self-discharge
• Charge – Charge and discharge rechargeable batteries multiple cycles to verify capacity

This intensive testing ensures our products meet the highest quality standards prior to being shipped to customers. Any defective or underperforming product is removed from inventory.

John Garber, Founder

John’s passion for flashlights began during childhood camping trips with his father. He has accumulated over 300 flashlights in his personal collection! John handles product design, procurement, and marketing for Garberiel.

Sarah Thompson, Customer Experience Manager

Sarah ensures every customer interaction is positive. She enjoys helping customers select the perfect light for their needs and troubleshooting any issues. Sarah worked in electronics retail customer service prior to joining Garberiel.

Mike Hunt, Operations Lead

Mike keeps daily operations running smoothly. He processes orders, handles inventory management and logistics, tests new product samples, and assists with product photography. Mike is an avid spelunker and caver.

Emma Wright, Engineer

Emma develops flashlight prototypes and tests new models. She works closely with suppliers to oversee manufacturing and quality control. Emma holds a mechanical engineering degree and is a flashlight modder on Reddit in her spare time.
